The circular economy principles emerged as a response to the current unsustainable linear behavioral economic model of “buy, make, consume, and waste.” Rethinking water through the lens of circular economy and resilience offers the opportunity to meet all these challenges by providing a systemic and transformative approach to delivering water services in a more sustainable, inclusive, efficient, and flexible way.
